Should you dye your grays or should you grow them out? That is the question.
Hey there! So, I've been battling with gray hair and touching up the roots for like 5 years now. Lately, I've realized that my hair isn't as happy about it as I am. It's feeling kinda dry and not so great. I do love how it looks when I color it, makes me feel like I'm aging backward! I did try to grow it out for about 6 months, but then I caved and colored it again. But, I think I'm ready to give the growing-out thing another shot.
So, I've learned that my gray hairs are stubborn when it comes to dyeing and they lose color pretty fast. And because my hair grows like crazy, I have to do root touch-ups every three weeks. My grays are very random. They don't grow out pretty, you know. They are like here and there. And I gotta make sure to use color-safe shampoo and conditioner, you know, the ones without sulfates and silicones (which is better for your hair, whether or not you dye your hair).
I think one of the biggest reason I bother with touching up my roots is to steer clear of looking older. But you know what? Aging is just a part of life, and I think it's about time to embrace it. What about you? Got any gray hairs too? Do you also touch up your roots like every three to four weeks? Let me know your thoughts!
