Soothing and calming, hydrating gel cream for sensitive skin.
You know my skin is super sensitive, oily and dry combination, and prone to acne. I try out tons of products every day, which can really mess up my skin. But this gel cream is one of my go-tos whenever my skin needs a pick-me-up. I've gone through like 4-5 containers of it already. Seriously, I can't live without this stuff!
Oat is a super awesome ingredient, especially great for beauties with sensitive skin like me. This ingredient comes from Avena Sativa, which is basically oatmeal. Here are a few perks of using this oat extract:
Provides hydration and moisture balance
Reduces redness and inflammation
Improves overall skin texture
Oat is a superhero for you skin. It's great at soothing, hydrating, and protecting your skin. The starches in colloidal oatmeal help in locking in moisture, so your skin stays nice and hydrated. Plus, the cellulose and fiber in oatmeal can help reduce any inflammation, leaving your skin feeling super soft. Avena Sativa Seed Water, which comes from oat seeds is truely a rockstar ingredient, known for its soothing and hydrating powers. It's perfect for calming down sensitive or irritated skin and keeping your skin's moisture levels in check. It even has avenacins which fight off fungi.
This product has a pretty short ingredient list which I love. With a lot of superstar ingredients. Below is the full list. It's pretty short.
Avena Sativa (Oat) seed water is the top ingredient on the list, which is awesome. We love having the powerhouse ingredient right at the beginning. Plus, it's got glycerin, squalene, and panthenol to give your skin a boost.
One extra little thing I wanted to talk about is how awesome squalene is for your skin. So, our face naturally makes oil, right? But when we strip our skin of moisture, it goes into overdrive and produces even more oil, leading to breakouts and greasy skin. Squalene steps in as a natural skin oil, tricking our skin into thinking it's already moisturized enough, so it blocks the excessive oil production. Cool, right?
What does it feel like?
This stuff has a gel-like texture, with a transparent milky color, which is great for oily/acne prone skin. It's not runny or heavy. When my skin is super dry, I prefer something creamier and thicker, especially in the colder months, but during the summer and spring this is my go-to. It might feel a bit tacky (not really sticky though, if you know what I mean) at first, but that feeling disappears after a while. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, and the best part is it's fragrance-free, so no weird smells!
How to use?
In the AM, it goes on right before my sunscreen. I dab it all over my face, then spread with my fingers, massage a bit, and finish with some gentle patting. At night, it's the final touch after my serum/ampoule. Sometimes I double up on it for extra hydration, especially in the summer when the AC has blasted way too much.
Who is this product for?
This is for anyone, seriously. Anyone can totally use this. But, if you've got super dry skin, it might not be hydrating enough for you. The good news is it's non-comedogenic, so all you sensitive skin beauties can totally enjoy it. And let me tell you, if you've got irritated and inflamed skin, this stuff is like magic. Just use it twice a day for around 3-5 days, and your skin will thank you. Trust me, I've been through it too.
Bottom Line
I'm totally into this cream. It's seriously a lifesaver for anyone with irritated skin. And if you've got sensitive skin and need a gel-like cream for everyday use, this one's a winner. Have you given it a shot? What do you think about it? Share your thoughts with me!
Where can you purchase?
Please note: When purchasing on Amazon, only purchase from the Amazon Original Store, which I have linked here. There have been so many fake products. I only link from retailers that sell true authentic products.
Thank thank thank. I have troubled skin and I really wanted to try this out. 😊
