Tried and approved serums and ampoules with centella asiatica for sensitive skin.
I'm super excited to tell you about my top 5 centella asiatica serums and ampoules for sensitive skin. Just to let you know, I've got sensitive skin that's also oily and dry combination, and I'm also acne prone. So if your skin is as wild as mine, you're in the right place!
Let's kick things off with a nerdy fact about Centella Asiatica. It's also called gotu kola and it's a herb that comes from parts of Southeast Asia. People have been using this for centuries for its medicinal properties. The plant extract is packed with antioxidants that are great for calming, healing, and enhancing skin conditions. Check out the awesome benefits of using Centella Asiatica below!
Anti-inflammatory
Centella asiatica has antioxidant properties that help protect the skin from pollution, stress, and UV rays.
Wound healing
Centella asiatica is rich in antioxidants that help fight off free radicals that damage DNA and the skin barrier.
Slowing signs of aging
Centella asiatica contains phytochemicals that reduce oxidative stress on connective tissue cells.
Collagen production
Centella asiatica promotes collagen synthesis, which improves skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Scar reduction
Centella asiatica may help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks by promoting tissue regeneration and cell turnover.
Suppresses inflammation
Centella asiatica's ability to suppress inflammation may reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Centella asiatica is like a skin care superhero because it's safe for almost everyone. And it can seriously boost your skincare routine, especially if you have sensitive skin! It's also great to use together with actives, like retinols. I've tried many serums and ampoules with centella asiatica, and these five really stood out to me.
So, the things I really wanted to focus on to make this list were:
Does it actually have centella asiatica in it? We need it to be in the top 5 of the ingredient list.
What does it feel like? Is it sticky? We do not want stickiness, but want good absorption.
Does it really calm the skin? We need this for our sensitive skin.
Is it non-comedogenic? We need this for our sensitive acne prone skin.
Is it free of fragrance? We need this for our sensitive skin.
Who is this product more for? Everyone, but some may benefit more.
Is the price and quality of the product worth it? This really matters.
Below is a list I put together after trying out 10 centella asiatica serums and ampoules. I tested the products for two weeks. I'm all about simple and clean ingredients, and I don't believe in those complicated ten-step routines. Keeping it short and sweet with products is the way to go. Just stick to what works for your skin type. My routine is super easy - I start with a toner (optional for you, but I swear by it), then use a serum or ampoule for any specific skin issues, followed by a moisturizer for nighttime, and finish off with sunscreen in the morning. You can have many types of serums, ampoules, toners and actives for your skin, but don't use them all at once. Use what you need for that day or evening. That's all there is to it! You want to make sure your routine is not overwhelming for your skin if you have sensitive skin. (you can find the full ingredient list by clicking on the ingredient list caption)

This product is super light and feels more like a serum. It is a watery texture and has a clear mellow yellow color. It is not sticky or tacky or greasy. Your skin will drink it up.
Even though it's really watery, (I think this is the most watery from all the products on this list) it's super moisturizing and calms the skin. It's seriously my favorite, I'm totally hooked on it. You can layer it up and it still does not get sticky. (This is my favorite. I stocked up on this one)

This product is lightweight and soaks into your skin easily without that sticky or greasy feeling. Formula is almost clear like and leaves a refreshing finish.
The reason I put this product on this list of centella serums/ampoules is because it also contains 98% Heartleaf in it. Centella asiatica may be 4th on the ingredient list, but with the help of the heartleaf together help reduce breakouts and inflammation as well as hydrate the skin and regulate sebum production while soothing irritation. This really helps during my pre-period phase.

It is very hydrating. The manufacturer label states it is formulated with Centella 5 Complex ingredients including Centella Asiatica Extract and Asiatic Acid to calm and soothe irritated skin. It also contains Ectoine which is rich in Amino Acid that helps boost skin's self-regenerating power by 12 times to provide anti-ageing care. And it is also enriched with 3 types of Peptides like Tetrapeptide-4 to boost skin moisture. Personally, I found it really helped calm my irritated skin after a rough trip fast.

Where can you purchase?
I usually purchase from Yesstyle, StyleKorean or Olive Young. I linked the site for you. Just click either the picture or the name of the serum/ampoule, it will take you there. But Yesstyle has more choices. Also they all have different sale events, so shop around. If I find any other places that have a big selection of Kbeauty products, I will definitely let you know. You let me know as well.
