I always, always, have a spare in my bathroom cabinent. I swear by this stuff, I use it every day and it's like a miracle water for me. Whenever my skin needs a little pick-me-up after I've tried other products for review and my skin is not happy with me, this toner comes to the rescue.

I love how Misxoon only used three, YES three, ingredients for this product (excluding water).

I'm totally obsessed with Centella Asiatica! I can't stop raving about it because it's just so amazing for calming, soothing, and hydrating your skin. Seriously, it works wonders!

So, let's chat a bit about skincare geek stuff. Centella Asiatica, also known as Gotu Kola or Cica, has been a go-to in folk medicine for ages. It's great for healing small wounds, burns, and scratches, and it's also a top-notch anti-inflammatory for eczema.

Gotu Kola has been getting a lot of love from the science folks lately. They found a bunch of compounds in it that do all sorts of good stuff. For the skincare fans out there, the main active compounds to look out for are asiaticoside, madecassoside, asiatic acid, and madecassic acid (which are also called centellosides).

One super thing about centellosides is that they can boost GAGs (glycosaminoglycans - basically, those sugary molecules chilling between our skin cells), especially when it comes to ramping up hyaluronic acid production in our skin. This probably plays a part in why Centella Asiatica Extract is so good at keeping our skin nice and moisturized. Centella has some anti-inflammatory powers too!

What does it feels like?

The toner is super watery and light, like really refreshing. It's not sticky at all, absorbs quickly, and I just love to layer on like three or four times when my skin is craving some extra hydration and is irritated. Instant moisture and soothing - it's the best!

How to use?

After I wash my face, I use the toner. I just pat it into my skin before slapping on serums or other products. Then, I let it dry a bit - not completely, just almost dry, so my serums or ampoules can soak in better (we'll chat more about how serums and ampoules work best on damp skin).

Who is this product for?

This toner is perfect for any skin type. The amazing thing about centella asiatica is that it does wonders for all skin types, especially for those with sensitive or irritated skin. Plus, it's awesome for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin. It won't clog your pores and will leave your skin looking great!

Bottom Line

Gotu Kola, aka centella asiatica is great! This bad boy is like a superhero with its wound-healing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant powers. And let me tell ya, this product is hitting the nail on the head with the ingredients it's got. Should you check it out? Absolutely YES! I totally recommend it. Hit me up with your thoughts.
